Sherri RowanDirector
My name is Sherri Rowan and I have the pleasure of serving as the Director of the G.A.I.N. California Community Programs, Workforce. For the last 20 years, I have worked with low income youth and families to help build up indigenous leaders. With a background in finance and a single mom of two wonderful children, I understand the importance of being able to provide for your family. When I’m not working or fulfilling my mom duties, I’m working to learn two new languages, and manage an apartment complex. The need for affordable housing in California is long overdue.
I was born and raised in the church, where I gave my heart to Christ when I was young. In 1997 I attended Azusa Pacific University, after graduation I began working in ministry and have always had a heart to help others. After the birth of my son, I started my own company, which allowed me the opportunity to merge some of the things I’m most passionate about, spending time with my children and helping businesses maintain healthy finances. Being a part of the finance department of Team G.A.I.N. California Inc. has allowed me to continue doing what I love, being a part of an organization that believes with “Certainty each California may Dream big and GAIN”!

The letter “G” means Growth. Growth is being productive in finding one’s niche in life; to increase as a citizen, serving, and able to pay California taxes.
The letter “A” means Assessment. Assessment is “Self-awareness” after looking within, within self and community to view its values and culture.
The letter “I” means Inspire. Inspire is a word that is cyclical and shows reciprocation. Each Californian is responsible to be inspiring; one to another and without stopping.
The letter “N” means Navigate. Navigate is our word of gratitude. To us navigate is “Beneficial.” The beneficial effects on our economy are indeed a byproduct of our term “Navigate.”
