Housing Needs in California and Los Angeles County

Over the last 40 years the cost of housing has skyrocketed while the residents struggle to keep up with the high cost of living. According to the National Low-Income Housing Coalition of California an individual working at minimum wage ($12.00) must work 91 hours to be able to afford a modest 1-bedroom rental home at Fair Market Rent.

The homeless population in the state of California is over 130,000 with many of those families with children and California has the highest of 50 states of highest homeless population. The need for affordable housing has always been present, but in today’s economy providing quality housing at an affordable price is a necessity. Section 8 can be a great tool to help families get back on their feet, but finding a landlord who will accept section 8 can prove to be difficult.

TGC strives to provide quality affordable housing for Southern California residents. We will provide affordable homes for families in need.

So, TGC looks to invest in housing for Californians barriers to affordable housing and to use the profit to invest in the most model single-family homes and multi-unit residents.

Howbeit, it is our desire to start servicing families right away it would be just wishful thinking. The way to combat barriers for families and housing is a career. A good paying job that supplies families with financial resources to ensure housing affordability is our main goal.

It our goal is to have within the next three years, 10 homes ready for 10 families.
