CEO EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Team G.A.I.N. California began as a small group looking to do good in the community for the future. The good we would do, would be based on our assessment of the community and its “NEEDS”. The main “Need” we saw was; the “NEED” for pathways designed for Californians with “BARRIERS” to success concerning;
- Career Education
- Career Job Options
- Housing for Low In-come Families.
NEEDS
With the “NEEDS” of the community and the “BARRIERS” isolated in our minds the project gained enthusiasm for the great work we wanted to do in the community such as:
Suitable employment
The need in our community is employment that provides an ample wage for families to not only live on but to also have the opportunity to thrive in society. Affordable Housing Decent housing where families can put their roots down, call it home free from worry about if they will or will not have a warm and safe place to sleep at night.
Community Resources
Resources in the community where agencies pull together and assist those who are socially and economically challenged are a valuable asset to the recipients who are in need and appreciate the community resource benefits (food pantries, school supplies for students, nice clothing for job interviews when individuals are working to go “from welfare to work”)
G.A.I.N. California Medical Coding School
Education
The goal of G.A.I.N. California Medical Coding School is to provide education to those with the ability to grasp the vision of the healthcare industry and become nationally certified. This national certification will provide the crucial and fundamental skills required as the student goes out into the job market to apply for in demand employment opportunities that come with an admirable
wage.
G.A.I.N. California Medical Coding Company
Employment
It is also the goal of G.A.I.N. California Medical Coding Company to employee those who graduate from G.A.I.N. California Medical Coding School with their national certification and give them the additional boost in the coding industry as they explore the value of their national coding certification.
G.A.I.N. California Community Programs
Affordable Housing
It is the goal and desire of G.A.I.N. California Community Programs workforce to start servicing families right away with affordable housing however, that is just wishful thinking. The way to combat barriers for families and housing is a career. A good paying job that supplies families with financial resources to ensure housing affordability is our main goal. It our goal is to have within the next three years, 10 homes ready for 10 families.
Howbeit the NEEDS of the community are great our reaction was to counteract the great need concerning “NEEDS” and “BARRIERS” with a great “SOLUTION”.
- Community Programs, Workforce
- Manufacturing Supply Chain Aerospace
- Medical coding jobs
- Grants for the community and other various programs to assist those who were socially and economically challenged.

Howbeit the NEEDS of the community are great our reaction was to counteract the great need concerning “NEEDS” and “BARRIERS” with a great “SOLUTION”.
SOLUTION
The solution as it would develop would be in five intentional areas: (1) A school for specialized Career Education; (2) A Career placement, a place to practice after career educational training; (3) A place where Community Programs are focused toward a Community Focused Workforce; (4) an Earned Income Model for Financial Sustainability.
Suitable Employment opportunities with a respectable wage is the number one primary resource needed to aid families in attaining their goals for their households. Excellent employment will afford the individual the necessary foundation to provide and care for their families properly while additionally being able to afford and obtain affordable housing they can call home.
Community Resources allows the individual to be a contributing participant in the community programs that assisted them when they were in need and now they are being of service to others. While being of service they can share their story with those who are struggling to do better. Having those who have lived the struggling experience working in the community resources program would be an inspiration to those who desire to do better.
Four Things! Four Ideas, was the barrier to success for Team G.A.I.N. California to navigate toward our Goal. Hence, the DBA formation of “G.A.I.N. California”.
Team G.A.I.N. California is focused in these pivotal areas; (1) Education; Adult Vocational Career Medical Coding School, our focus comes out of the law (PPACA) Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: (2) Housing; for low income families, (3) Community Programs workforce; that focuses on the law (WIOA) Workforce Initiative Opportunity Act. Also, the 115th 1st Congress, 1st Session, Bill, H.R. 52 training of African American young men ages 18 to 39.
Families with the ability to address these areas of their lives effectively not only offers them a resource to provide for their household but also gives them opportunities to pay it forward in their communities and (4) Leadership Development; will assist Team G.A.I.N. Currently on the G.A.I.N. California Community Programs Workforce radar: after school tutoring in math, science, career fairs and youth summer jobs for 16 year old’s associated with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
According to the United States Department of Labor the WIOA is landmark legislation designed to strengthen and improve our nation’s public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs, careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers. https://www.doleta.gov/wioa/ - Outlook 2
We at Team G.A.I.N. California. Believe each Californian deserves to have a reputable professional skill set. Acquiring these professional skill sets will not only prepare Californians for employment opportunities they can be proud of but, it will also build and improve the individual’s character, self- confidence levels and equip them to be tax paying citizens.
At this time, society is showing those who are college bound after high school, non-college bound after high school or even those who have graduated college, many of these individuals are still in need of jobs and training which will allow them to work in an industry that is in high demand and will provide the financial resources needed for their families. G.A.I.N. California EIM (earned income model) affords us the essential financial sustainability needed to provide these services to the communities in our state.

Hello, my name is Bridget. I need your help to make the dreams and goals a reality for Californians and their families.
I have worked in the healthcare industry for three decades. My interest in healthcare began as a young child watching my mother who served others as a Licensed Vocational nurse, Surgical Nurse, Registered Nurse and retired serving the community as a Hospice Care Registered Nurse.
While I knew working in the hospital inpatient setting was not my choice, it was clear my profession would be in the healthcare industry. All positions as a healthcare professional have been rewarding from Medical Assistant, Insurance Billing Specialist, Certified Professional Coder, Frontline software trouble shooter, Coding Supervisor, Project Manager, Coding Manager, Senior Coding Manager, to Risk Adjustment Specialist. While each position was a challenge, they provided the opportunity to learn, educate, mentor and grow from each challenge.
Mentoring and educating has sparked my interest and expertise to share this knowledge with others who have the desire to grow as certified healthcare professionals. There is nothing more rewarding than looking into the eyes of a student when they have the light bulb moment, and they clearly understand what is being taught. Healthcare coding professionals are in great demand. This industry provides respectable, rewarding positions with financial stability for those who are socially and economically in need to succeed in life while providing for their families. Today, more than ever before, I believe with “Certainty each Californian may Dream Big & G.A.I.N.” Get involved with the community & Donate today!
